DOES SUPERIOR DRUMMER 2.0 WORK WITH ABLETON LIVE LITE UPGRADE
As far as the software licensing and upgrade questions, or anything to do with recording, I'd have to defer to someone more experienced.
DOES SUPERIOR DRUMMER 2.0 WORK WITH ABLETON LIVE LITE DRIVER
I use an M-Audio UNO USB device and the ASIO4ALL driver with my PC's onboard audio.Īs far as the volume sliders, the plug-ins have their own mixer volume sliders, so I can only assume the sliders are greyed out because you don't have a plug-in loaded, so there is really nothing to control. I don't record and I'm no expert either, but I have experimented with EZ Dummer, Addictive Drums, VSTHost, and Ableton Live. Not to mention I once got my ass handed to me for suggesting the ASIO4ALL driver was the issue, but thats another story. A good FAQ section would be very helpful, and the search engine here is notoriously difficult to master. Two - the question has been answered several times before. One - they don't know the answer (or have nothing relevant/helpful to say). I've found there are 2 very good reasons people don't respond in these forums.
If someone doesn't have direct experience with your specific setup, any response would be purely speculation. Personally, I think the lack of response is due to the specific nature of your questions. Nobody like noobs around here?At 88 posts, I wouldn't think you'd be considered noob. My home studio is alot like my golfing.if I hit under 100 cool! In the mean time, I'll just keep hacking and learning. I personally, using just what I have, and using Sonar for mixing, editing, etc have recorded, my V-Drums audio and midi, with vocals, 2 guitars, and a bassist all at the same time.just for a half ass demo for the band.for half ass, it didn't turn out too bad IMO.Įxamples available upon request (yeah right!) I HAVE been using the 'M-Audio Delta Asio' drivers, and everything seems to be working fine.Midi in/out, audio in/out.

I use Sonar HS6 in my PC with an M-Audio Delta 1010LT sound card.kinda similar to what you are using. One little bit of advice.look for postings by Joe K, Bar T, jrcel, Michael Render, etc,etc (there are way too many great helpful folks on this forum to mention everyone who's helped me).these guys ARE the experts. Anyhow, I'm far far far from any kinda expert on any of this stuff.I'm just the friggin drummer, Man! Well, you're kinda right.sometimes the newbies don't get a quick response on things. Why is that? Also, my master volume sliders are "grayed out" and I can't use them, how come? When I click on "Audio Setup", it takes me to the driver mixer screen mixer inputs, on that screen I don't have MIDI as an option. Which one should I use for MIDI input? Can I mix analog inputs with MIDI inputs? At some point, I'd like to be able to record my drums in MIDI and two guitars with analog at the same time, possible?
When I select ASIO, I only have one "Audio Device "M-Audio Delta ASIO". What is that an acronym for? Audio Source In/Out? When I select MME/DirectX, my audio input and output devices default to "M-Audio Delta AP-192 1/2DX". In the Preferences window, I have two driver types: MME/DirectX and ASIO. Was this the right thing to do or is it OK to enable my integrated sound? Note: I have disabled the integrated sound on the PC to avoid any conflits and to minimize my confusion. I've connnected my TD-3 to the midi in on the 192 card, but I'm stuck with figuring out the input selections in Live. I started on the tutorial last night, I have a LOT to learn. All I have ATM is Live 7.0.7 to work with, which is a bit overwhelming. I also ordered EZdrummer, but it's not here yet. I built a dedicated music PC yesterday and installed my new Audiophile 192 card. Nobody like noobs around here? I'll just keep fishing for some advice/help: LOL This all purely for recording, no playing out.or I'd buy a real eKit. I hope I'm making the correct assumption.that I can remap the sounds for recording with this card and software! Please tell me I don't need to buy more hardware like an Alesis. Just need someone to point me to the software. Once I get that, what's the cheapest/best software for me to trigger and record? I need some software with a decent range of drum sounds.something that will make me happy.ĮDIT - I just bought this card, seems much better than the 2496: I think I'm going to start with this M-Audio card (unless there's something better in this price range):
I'm going to do some recording and I need this kit to "sound" better.įrom what little I understand thus far, I'm going to need a good midi card and some software that will allow my TD3 to basically function as triggers to midi events. The sounds on this TD3 are just completely subpar. OK, I admit.I'm a eKit noob.I need some help.
